What are company annual returns?
All companies are required to file their annual returns with the CIPC once a year, within 30 days of your companies birthday. The reason for filing annual returns is to confirm whether a company is still in business, or if it will be in business in the near future. Its like renewing your company for another year.
When must a company file annual returns?
Companies must file an annual return within 30 business days starting from the day after its date of registration (regardless as to whether it was active or not). You may still file after such period, but a additional penalty fee will be apply.
How much will my company annual return cost?
The cost for an annual return of a private company is based on your company turnover and any late payment fees. As part of the process we will calculate your fee upfront.
Do I still need to file my company annual returns if my company was inactive?
Yes. Even if your company was inactive, it is still legally required to file and pay annual returns. You would simply submit a zero turnover return.
